Turn Your Daily Routine Into Content That Attracts Clients
As a health and wellness practitioner, time is your most valuable resource. Between caring for clients, managing your business, and finding moments for self-care, it’s no wonder that social media often feels like “just one more thing” on an already overwhelming to-do list.
But here’s the truth: Social media doesn’t have to be a burden. It can be an easy and powerful way to attract clients, showcase your expertise, and grow your business—without adding extra work to your day.

The Cost of Keeping Social Media Separate
Let me ask you this: How much time and energy are you spending trying to create the perfect posts, only to feel like you’re spinning your wheels with no results?
One of the most common mistakes wellness practitioners make is treating social media as a separate, disconnected task that requires extra time and energy. This mindset creates unnecessary stress and prevents you from fully leveraging the opportunities social media offers.
For example, I recently worked with a brilliant practitioner named Kirsten, who wasn’t seeing the results she wanted from her social media. When I asked her why, she said, “I’m just so busy, Joy. Between my clients, my family, and caring for myself, I can’t find time to do all the extra stuff for social media.”
Sound familiar?
Here’s what I told her: Social media is not separate. The content you need is already happening in your daily routine. All you have to do is capture it.
People don't seek help from practitioners who are “the best-kept secret.” They seek help from practitioners who get out there and boldly address the pains and problems patients have.
How to Make Social Media Work for You
You’re already living the lifestyle you promote to your clients. Whether you’re reviewing lab results, cooking a healthy breakfast, or squeezing in a yoga session, these moments demonstrate to your audience who you are, what you do, and how you can help them.
Here’s how to make it work:
Are you reviewing lab results for a client? Take 30 seconds to record a thought about a pattern you’re noticing (while staying HIPAA-compliant, of course). Say something like, “This lab result is fascinating—this marker is often linked to bloating and fatigue. Let’s talk about why.” These quick, raw insights position you as an expert and keep your audience returning for more.
Do you encourage clients to meditate, eat mindfully, or stay active? Show them that you practice what you preach! Turn on your phone camera during your morning meditation or while preparing a nourishing meal. Share a quick clip with the caption, “Practitioners, don’t forget—taking care of yourself is just as important as caring for your clients.” This type of content builds trust and inspires your audience to follow your lead.
Worried about showing up without makeup or with a messy office in the background? Let me assure you that your audience doesn’t care about perfection. They care about authenticity. When I shared videos of myself post-yoga, sweaty and makeup-free, those posts received some of the best engagement because they were real. They showed my audience that I walk the talk—and that they don’t have to be perfect to show up.
The Power of Consistency
One of the most powerful shifts you can make is to see social media as a natural extension of what you’re already doing. By integrating content creation into your daily routine, you’ll save time and build a consistent presence that resonates with your audience.
Here’s the magic of what posting consistency can do for you and your online health business:

A Client Success Story
Let me tell you about Dr. Pamela, another client who embraced this approach. Before working with me, she was overwhelmed by social media and saw it as a distraction from her work.
Everything changed once she started turning her coaching sessions into content—simply by recording herself (excluding the client’s voice and identity, of course). Her posts became nuggets of value for her audience, and her following grew exponentially.
Today, Dr. Pamela has scaled her business so successfully that she’s moving to Costa Rica to live her dream life. And it all started with a simple mindset shift: Social media became an integrated part of her workday, not a separate chore.
What’s Holding You Back?
I know what you might be thinking:
Here’s my advice: Let go of those excuses. Your audience isn’t looking for perfection—they’re looking for real. They want to see an expert who can help them solve their problems.
Every day you delay turning your routine into content is a day you’re leaving clients—and revenue—on the table.
