This Simple Strategy Attracts More Clients and Builds Social Proof Fast

As a wellness practitioner, you know how powerful testimonials can be. They build trust, provide social proof, and help new clients feel confident choosing you. But let’s be honest: asking for testimonials can feel awkward. You don’t want to seem pushy, and your clients don’t always know what to say.

That’s why in this post, I’m handing things over to Lisa Hanfileti, our Member Success Coach at Heal At Scale™, who’s going to show you a better way—one that removes the cringe factor entirely and lets you collect impactful, permission-based testimonials as a natural byproduct of your work.

“You don’t need to chase testimonials. You just need to start capturing their progress.” ~Lisa Hanfileti

Why Seeking Testimonials Is A Challenge

Most practitioners fall into one of these awkward traps:

👉 Avoiding the ask altogether because you don’t want to come across as pushy or self-promotional.

👉 Making a vague, uncomfortable request like: “Would you mind writing me a testimonial?”

👉 Crossing your fingers and hoping clients will magically send a glowing paragraph on their own (spoiler: they rarely do).

All three of these approaches put unnecessary pressure on your client and rarely result in anything you can actually use. More often than not, you end up chasing them down or, worse, drafting something yourself for them to “approve.”

The Better Way: Capture Wins in Real Time

Instead of asking for testimonials, celebrate your clients’ progress each time they get a result that is leading to their transformation. We call this Celebrating Wins and it’s a powerful way to spotlight your client’s achievements, inspire new clients to reach out to you for help and do it in an authentic and fun way.

Here’s an example of each part of a “Win Post” using digestive system support and functional lab testing:

  • Step 1: Start with a compelling headline

“Years of Bloating—Gone in 3 Weeks”

“New Labs, New Life: How Mary Finally Got Answers”

  • Step 2: Celebrate the client

“After years of struggling with daily bloating, fatigue, and unpredictable digestion, Mary finally experienced consistent relief—just three weeks into her new protocol.”

  • Step 3: Explain the context

“We started with a comprehensive GI lab test that revealed a few key imbalances she would’ve never known about through symptoms alone. With that clarity, we introduced a personalized gut repair plan: a targeted supplement protocol, meal mapping to reduce inflammation, and nervous system support to ease the stress-bloat cycle.”

  • Step 4: Connect it back to your work

“This is exactly why I incorporate functional lab testing into my digestive support programs—because when we treat based on actual data, the guesswork disappears, and recovery gets a whole lot faster.”

  • Step 5: Include a light CTA

“If your symptoms haven’t made sense—or if you’ve tried ‘everything’ without lasting results—you’re not alone. The right information changes everything. DM me ‘digestive help’ and I’ll share how we start uncovering root causes.”

💡Why This Works So Well:

  • It reads like a story, not a pitch
  • It educates your audience about your process
  • It highlights a real result, so future clients can see themselves in the success
  • It plants a clear but gentle invitation to reach out

You can do this in a Facebook group, in an email, in a blog, a carousel post, reel, story or any other format. The more consistently you post your clients’ Wins, the more your audience will begin to see you as someone who gets results—not because you say so, but because they see it happening over and over again.

Pro Tip: Save Time Using AI

Once you’ve captured a client win, take a screenshot and upload it to your favorite AI tool, like ChatGPT.

  • Then use this simple prompt structure:
  • A quick description of what the client achieved
  • Any details about what they were struggling with before
  • A short message or comment from the client (optional but helpful)
  • A brief summary of what service or strategy helped them get the result
  • A CTA to whatever you want them to do next (e.g. click a link to book a call with you)

Then ask ChatGPT: “Create a compelling social post using this client win, and include a light CTA at the end?”

Once the post is written:

  • Copy it into Google doc so you can edit and make it your own, save in a folder labeled “Wins”
  • Use the text to create a branded graphic in Canva, save in a folder labeled “Wins”
  • Post the graphic in your group, business page, and other social platforms
  • Share it in your newsletters or create Client Success Stories Page on your website

Once you’ve dialed in your favorite format, it’s easy to generate multiple Win Posts just by feeding your AI tool the results your clients are already achieving!
